A new beginning

So, there we are, my name is Tamira and I want to see what we can achieve with this blog. A little introduction is needed I suppose, I'm 24 years old, as for januari of 2025, I live in the Netherlands, with my partner, cat and three gecko's. All in a really small apartment in Zaandam.

A couple of years ago my passion for Viking age reenactment came to be. Many things have been made, crafts have been learned, places I have been. All things I want to share here!

I love looking into things other people have made, and all the finds from the Scandinavian late iron age, also known as the Viking age. I am in no way a professional, that would take years of studie.

It can be hard to navigate trough all the information on the internet about these periods. Many things are spread thinly trough big sites with a lot of information, which can be hard to navigate. With this blog I want to make things a bit easier to swallow. Especially for starters, like I still am!

My most recent project a Skjoldehamn inspired tunic, with fabrics from Woolsome shop.

Many ideas buzz trough my head when making this first small post. I really want to make this a place to share crafts and ideas, events and more. Like places with good fabrics, nice shoes, but also reconstructions of jewelry and much more! So, if this made you just as excited as me, let me know!
